Family gatherings are ALWAYS at Gramma's house! She cooks, she bakes, she entertains, and there is always a place at Gramma's table to fit everyone. As time goes by, Gramma starts forgetting how to do things she has done throughout her life with ease. What is happening to Gramma?

Based on a true story, Gramma Has Dementia takes the young reader on a journey through time with a mom and her four children as they notice changes in their gramma, learn about the brain, her diagnosis of dementia, and come together to figure out ways to do their best to help her.

Beautifully illustrated by Tatiana Gubich, based on reference photos of actual people, places and events, Gramma Has Dementia shows you that with a lot of love, a family can stay strong and help each other through difficult times. This story encourages you to enjoy every moment you have with your loved one.

Thank You for a Memorable Day of Joy, Connection & Inspiration

at our Gramma Has Dementia Book Launch & Fundraiser
On March 8, 2025, we gathered at Captain's Inn in Forked River, NJ, for the heartfelt launch of Gramma Has Dementia, coinciding with International Women’s Day. We are immensely grateful to everyone who joined us for this special occasion, making it a memorable day filled with joy, connection, and inspiration. A special thank you to our amazing sponsors, whose support helped us raise $6,000 for the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM) at the Cleveland Clinic. Their contributions are vital in advancing research and support for women affected by Alzheimer’s.
The day was filled with wonderful activities, including live performances by my daughter Jaimie and her boyfriend Jeremy. Vintage Vibe Tribe also provided the perfect soundtrack for this six-hour celebration. Guests enjoyed inspiring talks by our speakers, a delightful buffet, and opportunities to meet, greet, and have their books signed by the author and illustrator, who traveled all the way from Belarus to attend our very first launch. We were also honored to welcome the Mayor of Lacey Township, making the event even more special.
Thank you to all who participated and supported us. Together, we are making strides in raising awareness, understanding, and funds for dementia and Alzheimer’s. We look forward to continuing this important work together!

Meet the Author
Andra Napoleon
Andra’s experience with Alzheimer’s began when she was just ten years old, caring for her grandmother. She would help her get dressed, paint her nails, and keep her hair nicely styled.
Andra cared for many patients with
Alzheimer’s while raising her own kids as
a single mother. She believes that God had been preparing her all along, giving her
the knowledge that she would need to
care for her mother, Roz, who has been living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia for over a decade now. Andra is proud to be her primary caregiver.

Roz instilled a strong sense of family in Andra, and just like her mother, she loves to host special gatherings at her house. She is a proud mother to four successful adult children and a grandmother to three adorable grandchildren, with more on the way. Andra always finds reasons to bring the family together.
Andra has an instinct for taking care of people. She finds joy in listening to and giving advice to family and friends, helping neighbors, and contributing to her community. After the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, she began volunteering at a local church, cooking for people in need. You can still find her there every Tuesday and Thursday and on Thanksgiving Day, bringing along her beloved mother. Despite her dementia, Andra’s mother is warmly embraced by all and treated with utmost kindness and respect.
Andra owns several small businesses: All About The Face, On The Glow Tanning, and Great Finds For U, all with the goal of helping people look and, more importantly, feel their best. She is planning the launch of a new podcast called 1hr2empower, which will do just that. The podcast will provide a platform for people to share their stories of adversity, how they were able to overcome it and inspire others to do the same.
Andra’s mother, Roz, has always supported and encouraged her big ideas. One of her biggest is the launch of a new online
platform for the single community called Single Glow®. Her goal is to create a space where people can “Meet People Not
Profiles®” authentically and maybe, along the way, be lucky enough to meet the love of their life!
Since her mother’s dementia diagnosis over a decade ago, Andra has always felt that it is her turn to provide the unwavering support she has always received from her mother. She treasures every precious moment they still have together.
To contribute to finding a cure for this devastating disease, Andra has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from this book to further Dementia/Alzheimer’s Research.
